Ideal for a family outing of all ages, our four year old was full of questions but the guides were really patient with him, good restaurant, wonderful gardens and a very interesting house, this was our second visit and having been to Egypt and the sites and Cairo museum the house was more interesting.

Great spot for house and extensive gardens and woodland walks. Great for taking kids and dogs out with beautiful contrast of formal and informal gardens and outdoor spaces. Make sure you save your coffee and cake needs for the kitchen gardens. The small shed in there has some of the best coffee and home made cake for miles around. They... More

We visited here for the first time yesterday and what a lovely place. We should have visited here before. The house is amazing, the NT staff were all very friendly and had lots of information about the house. We then went into the grounds. Brilliant walks, beautifully maintained gardens and places to sit for a picnic and have a play.... More

Me and my family went to Kingston lacy and took part in the Cadburys Easter egg hunt. The trail went through the woods. The trail was around 1-1.5 miles and there were seven stages that you got to fill in different questions. Also on the path there is a play area for the kids to play. There are lots of... More

We pre booked our time to visit the house and arrived early so that we could wander around the gardens first. The gardens were really interesting with some wonderful camellias and loads of other very interesting plants. It was like walking through a series of outdoor rooms. We then went into the house, it is very interesting, with some of... More

Lucky for us this Gem is on our door step. This is a fantastic day out for the family, make sure you visit the kitchen gardens for a great coffee and let the kids (under 10) play in the play area. After that.. Enjoy a walk around the allotments and back in to the main Kingston lacy grounds to finish... More

The grounds at Kingston Lacy are very pleasant and include a gentle circular walk which takes you past an extensive play are for the children then into the woods passing masses of bluebells and garlic and on into the Japanese Garden where there are masses of Japanese Maples (acers) and an abundance of colour with azaleas, rhodis and camellias. We... More

Went on Easter Sunday. Had to pre-book a timed ticket for the house. Some lovely items in the house and the Spanish room is stunning. There are also very extensive grounds to wonder around and the Japanese garden was beautiful. Too much to see and do but guess that means we will be visiting again. Would recommend.
