If you would like to know how the castle would have looked before destruction by Cromwell in 1646, a visit to the model village shows Corfe Castle and the village in 1/20th scale. Set in beautiful Purbeck surroundings, also with giant games, enchanted fairy garden, working stocks and pillories and croquet. There is on site the Courtyard Tea Room for good quality reasonably priced snacks with a wide range of gluten free options.

Entry to the model village and gardens is very reasonable and the price of entry is good for further visits for one week. Even at the end of October the gardens were lovely, with dahlias and roses still in bloom. Everything looked well cared for....More

We went to Corfe model village as a family, we had young and teenagers. We all had a brilliant time. We found all of the staff helpful and the village was beautifully clean and tidy.

Great fun! As we approached the two guards (models) they challenged us and then kept up a very amusing discussion. The model of the castle when it was intact is very interesting as we had just visited the ruined remains.

Visited yesterday - have been before but wanted to record how knowledgeable and helpful the owner is regarding gluten free. Great choice of items. My only comment would be that the gluten free menu is on a small blackboard at the back of the counter...More

This mini remake of the main castle is interesting to look at, if only to give you a greater sense of what the real thing must have been like, towering over the village. Not sure its worth the admission charge if bought alone, however, if...More

We went just before they shut at around 5.00pm, very quiet, as there were no children running around! Charming 'Village' and garden, but it didn't take long to see everything.
