Very interesting tour and knowledgeable guide. My 4 year old grandson loved the tour too and was given special attention.

Have often sailed passed the lighthouse for a long flog either east or west across the bay so it was a treat to see it at a much greater pace and close up. Parked up and walked down and looked at the information board both...More

Parked up and could not believe the amazing views! Took a walk down to the lighthouse. There is a guide board which details where towns and villages are on the coastline.

Drove 7 hours from London and 5 hours back to London, all in the same day; all for exactly an hour at this beautiful lighthouse! The car park charges £3.50. The roads are pretty windy, unlit and narrow on the final road down to the...More

Parked up and enjoyed the walk to the lighthouse looking out to sea and up towards Slapton. The lighthouse sits on the South West coastal path so you can walk to it from various points along the coast. Fascinating history and information from Mary the...More

Visited here on a drizzly Sunday afternoon. The lanes down to the car park were very narrow but passing places helped. The car park was free when we got there, and the views out to sea and also down the tarmac track were fabulous, despite...More

The tour was very informative and a great way to educate both children and adults. Well worth the money as access when walking to the lighthouse is usually not possible due to the gates being locked. There are some very stee step ladder type steps...More

We had a really interesting tour of Start Point lighthouse, telling us about the history of the building and operation of the lighthouse. On a beautifully clear October day the views were superb, coupled with detailed information about how the lighthouse works made for a...More

We left the car at the car park, fortunately for us visiting on a dull and drizzly day in October meant no car parking charge! The walk down to the lighthouse is about 20 minutes. There's no point doing the walk if you are mobility...More
