We love this place. Its always good fun for adults and children. Last time we went, we cycled over the new A38 cycle bridge and down an excellent path avoiding traffic. Another time we walked via the Templer Way from the moors. I think it has the potential to grow as there are so many interesting aspects to it.

Beautifully cooked breakfasts both veggie and meat. Environment is lovely, very clean and tidy with helpful staff and coffee which is refilled as many times as you would like for no extra charge. I have also been for lunch a few months previous which again was amazing. I had rarebit which is usually served with chips. Unless you have the... More

If you want a really excellent English breakfast then this is a place to go - but you normally need to get there early and especially at weekends as it gets really busy. You might need to wait a few minutes but well worth it as the food has a real home cooking flavour - unlike many places where it... More

I haven't visited thus place for many years and decided to go with my grandson to see any Christmas festivities. My 3 year old grandson was not at all impressed and neither myself. The entry is free and you can see them working with the glass but other than that is is far overpriced there was a singing Christmas tree... More

Today we visited as we had heard about the Santas grotto. Very Christmassy here and loads of different, interesting Christmas presents, although it is quite expensive. The Santa experience was good, was a little rushed however it was very busy. The ticket number idea is good and means no queuing, for only around £6 would definitely recommend it for children.... Lovely Christmassy shop and very interesting museum pieces all over the place. We watched glass blowing and saw some lovely things being made. There is a huge marble run upstairs the we spent ages watching and another shop upstairs that was full of lovely things to see. The cafe was great with delicious cakes. Everything was bright and happy and... More
