The drive here especially in the school holidays will involve a wait on the single passing parts of the road but it's not to bad and well worth the drive. There is a big car park here but Inge week we were here they have...More

we did this walk from our Parkdean caravan. The coastal path was easily accessible, then down over the top to the other beach and pub.

No matter what the tide or weather are doing there is usually a protected and safe place to swim. Our young children learned to surf here. Great surf school and Venus cafe has great hot drinks and food for cold weather days.

We spent a lovely day here. A great time body boarding and building sand castles. Walked over to Burgh Island and a had a drink watching the sea. Brilliant cafe, but a bit expensive.

This is a truly beautiful beach no matter what the weather. From the mainland you have a delightful view of the Burgh Island hotel made famous by Agatha Christie and the Poirot TV series.

As above. During the off-season dogs are allowed onto the beach. This also applies to the beach at Wembury, near Plymouth. For all year dog access to a beach I can recommend Thurlstone beach, access through Thurlsetone... More
