Spent an afternoon wandering around these gardens. Enjoying the variety of plants. It helped that the sun was shinning which made the views out to sea stunning. Saw many plants from all over the world. A good way to spent two hours

Probably spent as much time in these gardens as in the castle itself. Very much well worth the time. It was July and everything was in bloom. Wish I had a picnic basket . A must see

There are plenty of buses if you don't want the hike UP - but the advantage of being high is the views! Pleasant and well-cared-for gardens that make a great place to chill out on a town trail.

We have visited a few times for concerts and picnicking , to see a friend play in an orchestra to seeing a Beatles tribute band this summer. Beautiful gardens with a spectacular view of the smaller channel islands.

Sorry I wasn't looking for it - so never noticed it. The staff in the Art Gallery on the Park, should be able to let you know.

If my memory serves me correctly, the plaque is on an exterior wall, to the left of the main entrance to the museum.
