Beautiful sunsets.

Recently spent a few nights in a hotel overlooking the beach at St.Helier and it is truly lovely. Fantastic for a walk in the months when swimming isn't high on the agenda... read more

Journey around from St Helier to the East and you will be stunned by the strange and expansive seascape that has vast vistas of large protruding pillars of rocks and small defensive towers. It's easy to see why there were so many shipwrecks here.

It was cold but the skies were blue and the beach was empty- it really felt like our own private beach and it was beautiful! Highly recommend!

Beautiful and clean beaches in Jersey. We stayed at the Ommaroo hotel and to wake up overlooking St Helier beach was superb. Fantastic walk along the unblemished sand out to Elizabeth Castle when the tide was out. Cannot fault the beaches and were a pleasure to enjoy.

St Helier was a BIG disappointment for us. We were expecting something more sophisticated & cosmopolitan- it was barely a step up from Morecambe - and it rained!! We would not return to Jersey as we travelled around a little too & didn't find anything of much appeal. We did enjoy a live jazz night & meal at Roberto's tho... More

When the tide was in there was no beach left outside our hotel; when it as out there was too much beach! Fortunately for those who wanted a swim there was a large deep pool left behind, contained within an old Victorian-made-modern Lido. Walking from Gorey back to St Helier (or vice versa) isn't much fun at high tide as... More

Not really a sunbathing or swimming beach but nice to sit and look at views of the castle or enjoy the bathing pool. Plenty of cafes and toilets along the beach at the top. Car parking limited so you might have to drive a long way along to get a space.

Used a lot by dog walkers, who appeared to make the effort to clean up..! A nice touch was the submerged marina that made itself known at low tide. A great idea for the summer..!

This is a beautiful location and the beach is vast although tidal so care needs to be taken. On a sunny day it is stunning.

We stayed at The Merton Hotel in St Helier, the biggest hotel on the island so we were told. One of the highlights of the holiday was a bus tour of the island with a most informative tour guide, who not only pointed out interesting place eg the place where Bergerac was filmed, the glass chapel containing glass by Renee...
