    Unexpected new taste experience
Intriguing having the whole process explained. Brett does the entire process alone bar the bottling which his daughter and son helps him with. I was reticent about the tasting as I don't like grape wine, I'm a beer drinker but the their raspberry and the blackberry I definitely liked very much. Maybe it shouldn't be called wine because you would be expecting it to taste like grape wine. Their product is a thousand times superior to my taste buds. So that was an unexpected plus plus to a very intriguing visit. For someone who would never buy a bottle of wine I came away with 6 bottles and my husband bought 4. So we'll probably have a party of solely wicklow way wine n cheese n chocolate. The goats blue cheese and blackberry went together like a dream. Thanks Brett.
A berry wine convert! Love to hear it :) thank you so much for having an open mind!

    Lovely evening experience!
This isn’t your typical wine tasting tour but, that’s what makes it unique. We had a great time on this tour with Brett, the factory is small (it’s no vineyard) but you get a personal experience from an extremely passionate wine creator. His attention to detail and love of wine is evident and we got to try some of the wines after the tour along with little tasters of chocolate and cheese. Would recommend visiting - my only regret is you can’t buy single bottles of the wine when leaving. I wish you could as I would have liked to give something back. Well done to Brett and his family it makes a lovely evening out!
Thanks so much for taking the time to review - so happy you had a great experience. We can now sell by the bottle, after years of trying to get the licence! It was always something we knew we needed, as sometimes six bottles in one go, is too much :)

Excellent, well worth a visit and the wines are delicious.
Highly recommended for anyone with a general curiosity as to the hows and whats of the story behind the genisis of a locally produced Wicklow wine. Bretts no nonsence presentation was equally interesting and informative and the cherry on top was the tasting of his delicious wine selection. Wicklow Wines are now top of the wine list when we host family and friends and are consistently greeted with a 'whoa, that's gorgeous, where can we get it', response.
Aw love this! Thank you so much. Reviews like this make our day ✨

Brett's passion for making wine makes the experience more authentic.
The tour overall is VERY good. Brett's passion for making wine makes the experience more authentic. And it inspire you in so many ways. He is very knowledgeable! He explained the process in detail which you won't be able to get in other places. The set up for the wine tasting is cool. Can't wait to see the live music he is preparing someday! :D
Thank you so much for your kind words! Hopefully we will see you again for a music and wine night!

    Wonderful wines!
A lovely way to spend a couple of hours while staying in nearby Druids Glen. It was really interesting to see how the MÓINÉIR wine is made and the dedication that goes into every single bottle. The wine is absolutely delicious too! Myself and my wife really enjoyed it.
Delighted to hear that you loved the wines and the experience. Many thanks for the support!

    Berry Wonderful!
I enjoyed every minute of my trip here, such an engaging and interesting overview on how berry based wine is made in Ireland. So many interesting elements to the tour and the tasting at the end is wonderful! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something different to do and definitely a trip for any food/wine lover. It’s an ode of love to Irish produce!
So so happy to hear this and thank you so much for the support!!

    Passion in a bottle
The tour was extremely informative and on every step you could tell how passionate Brett is about their wine and the whole process. The tasting area is very cute and the tasting pairings were just perfect.. the only thing I would change is to allow more time to savour the wine. As the tour ran over the tasting was a bit rushed and that should be the main event.
Thank you so much for your fab review, and for the feedback re the tasting! You're dead right - the more time allotted for the delish tasting, the better.

This was an extremely informative and enjoyable experience. Brett is passionate about wine's and clearly enjoys creating them. The tour was completed by strawberry, raspberry and blueberry wine tasting paired with cheese and chocolate. We could have stayed for hours. Highly recommended.

    Fantastic
Fantastic experience, Brett’s passion for his profession is infectious. Really lovely day out & great value for money. We left with 6 bottles of wine. It would be nice to be able to stay and enjoy an extra glass of wine as we got chatting to some really lovely people on our tour. Would, will & have already recommended this tour.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and for spreading the word. We really appreciate it! We're looking at opening up our music area for guests to come in and have a glass or two of wine - keep an eye out, if that's something of interest :)

What a wonderfully surprising experience. Brett shared his obvious passion for berry wine making with the two us in a very personal and informative way on our tour, every step of the process was lovingly described and explained in detail to "newbies" to berry wine. The tasting itself was "jaw dropping" we were not sure what to expect from berry wines but we were very blown away by the quality, taste and variety in the wonderful berry wines we tasted.

We've been extremely fortunate to have done a few wine tasting across the world and never have we gathered as much detail on end to end process as this tour. Brett had walked us through this in a natural and informal way that makes you appreciate the care and dedication the family has in producing top quality wines.

We took two bottles with us as they tasted great and will come back when they expand in the near future.

an excellent, informative and enjoyably informal tour of the winery

Led by the winemaker Brett, who is as good at making the tour an engaging and fun experience, as he is at making delicious fruit wines. It was very interesting to see their facilities and get an insight into the long process of making wine from scratch.
For the tasting, their unique berry wines are paired with local artisan cheeses and chocolate, which were delicious and fit very well with the unique characteristics of the different wines

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in how wine is made, or simply likes sampling beautiful, artisan products.

Bret tooķ us through the intricacies of the processes that end up producing the berry wines. He generously shared the discoveries he has made over the years that have led to technique improvements. The wines are surprisingly tasty and have wonderful color. Even though we are foreigners, we appreciated that the winery prioritizes sourcing irish products. Pierre & Claire

Myself and my mother and sister attended the tour on Mother's day which was a nice idea that the winery offered to mark the day. This is a unique experience as it is an Irish winery that specialises in making wine from berries. I had only heard of wine from grapes.
I had emailed about my mother being a Coeliac and having an intolerance to cream well in advance of our tour and had had quite a few emails back and forth confirming about it. I was surprised when we arrived that the owner was unaware and he did try his best to offer my mother something else instead. It was disappointing for her as she wasn't able to taste the cheeses. I would suggest that some chairs could be offered/ made available for older people to sit down while doing the wine tasting.
Brett is very passionate about his winery and that really comes across but it would have been nice to spend longer on the tastings themselves and to get some more interaction with the guests to get them to mingle. I would suggest to offer some mixers with the blackberry and raspberry wines as well.
I really enjoyed the strawberry wine and the cheeses and chocolates were lovely.

Fantastic experience, Brett was a fantastic host whose passion and enthusiasm made this tour and tasting an incredibly memorable experience. So nice to see his dedication to making an authentic Irish family made product. The wine tasted fantastic but the real flavour came from the wisdom of the wine maker himself a truly wonderful day!

it's great to see small family businesses prospering, and Wicklow Way Wines certainly is. The tour was interesting and the detail taken to ensure the quality of the products is well explained on the tour. Lessons were learned in the process of building this business as we were told, and the expertise of Brett Stephenson, to find processes to get the quality he wanted is almost fascinating. One couldn't but feel how deserving of success this business is when the time and dedication to its perfection is explained.
Well done and thank you for a very enjoyable experience.

Really enjoyable! Great to learn the process of how the wine is made as it makes the taster at the end much more enjoyable knowing about all the hard work put into creating such tasty wine!! Delighted to have the option to purchase some wine at the end, self control was needed not to buy several bottles.
