Although the history of the area in here was very interesting for us as tourists, I'm afraid that the staff here found us tourists the least bit interesting and clearly had no interest in engaging in conversation with us. The staff were really helpful with advice on walks in the area and provided us with maps, there is lots of tourist information and leaflets available. If you have an interest in the Heritage of the area there is a lot of old photographs of days gone by and the mining for copper. Well worth a visit for a browse and advice on what to do in Avoca. The Heritage Centre is the Ocre/Orange coloured building right next to the park by the river.…
