A lovely place to visit if interest in Horses/History
Horse mad teenager had been wanting to visit so having a Staycation, it was the perfect opportunity. It was a lovely way to spend an hour and a half. A history video of the area starts off the visit (although I did struggle with the sound quality). Due to Covid only one family at a time can view this, which was very reassuring. There are two floors of interactive displays and a skeleton of a horse. Daughter found it all very interesting. Staff were lovely and the young man gave some excellent information. We then had a coffee and ice-cream in Fethard. A lovely small clean town with a friendly community.
Thank you for your positive review. We are delighted to hear you all enjoyed your experience. I'd like to apologize for your experience with the sound quality of the welcome video. We have taken a number of queries regarding this and have discovered a technical glitch between the speakers and the projector which meant the tones were unbalanced. We have now rectified this situation. If you are passing again please drop in and watch the video again. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Best wishes Tori

Exceptional - a real gem of a museum with very warm and knowledgeable staff
We paid a flying visit to the Horse Country Experience in between stops on the 2020 Stallion Trail, our only regret was not to have had more time to take in the superb exhibits and watch many more of the videos. Whether your interest is the thoroughbred, social history, racing or local stories, it's impossible not to want to come back again and again. Thank you!
Thank you for your positive review. We are delighted to be open again and offering the full experience.

    Wow what a collection.
This museum is really beautiful. So informative and interesting on our heritage and our relationships with horses. I loved my time spent traveling through time and watching the epic wins through racing history. What a collection. Easy 5 stars would give 6 if I could.

The recent renovation of the old town hall to house the Horse Country Experience is terrific on two levels: it gives architecture and history buffs a close up look at an amazing building along with an excellent overview of the Tipperary horse culture in the museum within. Handy access out the back to the Holy Trinity Church, churchyard, and an excellent portion of the medieval town walls out the back.

I went out to Fethard Museum with my friend and we did the tour. The staff were very helpful especially Liam. We then drove to Coolmore Stud for the outdoor tour. The guide that day was Jack and he knew everything about horses and races and dates and was brilliant as a tour guide. The group were all ears to what he was saying and he made the afternoon very enjoyable. A great day out for anyone living near or abroad.
