We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to the Dunamaise Arts Centre for a Christmas concert which was performed by Barnashrone Primary School.

When we arrived, we had to organise our tickets and the Dunamaise staff who were on duty were friendly & professional with a very welcoming attitude. The floor staff were kind and helpful with a smile for everyone.

It was a wonderful evening and the quality of the production was amazing. The staging was outstanding with a highly imaginative set. The singing, dancing and acting were excellent. In addition, the performances with musical instruments including the harp showed the extent of the talent of the students involved.

The show featured a Nativity play, a musical story about "Whoops-a-Daisy Angel", and with the season-that's-in-it, there was also a "Panto Pandemonium".The teachers were a part of the show, including the characters of Grotty and Spotty as well as the wicked ringleader of the piece.

It was a super evening and we really enjoyed it. Well done to all involved,

Always enjoy a trip here and there's something for everyone in their programmes. We've brought the kids to the Portlaoise panto, gone to the musical and film nights and seen some great music here over the years. Very important to have such a great facility in Co. Laois.

We couldn't put our finger on what exactly was wrong, in general the venue just seemed depressed. For an artistic space, we would have expected energy and vitality and a bit more get up and go, but it all just seems to have got up and gone.

We went to the Wednesday night film here which was most enjoyable. The centre has a full range of arts activities along with events and a cafe during the day and a bar when there is an evening event. A place to be supported.
