I visited here not really knowing what to expect from the ruins and the view. It was simply stunning. Amazing to think way back when they were able to construct such a building up on this grand hill. The view from the top is beautiful....More

Amazing ruin only minutes from the M7. Quiet with truly inspiring views of the countryside. Looks kind of squashed from the opening gate area, but is way more impressive once you get up the hill. Not a difficult climb at all, a bit steep here...More

An amazing historic site- loved in that it has not be over commercialised. Stunning. Perhaps more information could be provided so do your research before you visit. Wonderful views of surrounding countryside.

Amazing views and gave us more tourist locations to visit. Would definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area.

Good castle ruins to visit. Great views. Easy to use imagination to see how it once might have been. Easy uphill path from car park. Go early.

Great to see a place like this not commercialized with shops and massive parking out front. I was on a private tour from Dublin and im glad we took a small detour tto see the castle.

Great place to stop for a walk if you're traveling along the Dublin - Limerick motorway as its only few minutes away.

I had torn my achilles - while in Ireland. I managed to hobble up most of the way. Not to the top - but far enough. An electric scooter would have been awesome to have.
