Because of Covid guidelines, it was mandatory for us to order a meal from the menu. I'm coeliac and can only eat gluten free food. This review is purely to advise those who have allergies, because the experience made me feel unsafe and uncertain about how the staff prepare and deliver their food. It was a very disappointing experience because our server was unable to explain the allergin information contained on the menu (the numbers beside each meal). When I asked for the allergin information to be explained, they avoided the question and then eventually told me that the only gluten free item was the cheese plate. I was offered gluten free bread instead of crackers, and when it arrived it contained the gluten crackers, which I had to request to be removed. They did not provide me with a fresh box of cheese that was uncontaminated by the crackers. And the promised bread was not provided. I genuinely felt that if my allergy were more severe, or if I had for example a nut allergy, or another dietary concern, that staff would not be able to guarantee my safety when ordering from the menu, despite the fact that there are allergin numbers listed beside the items. All that is required to avoid situations like this in future is for staff to be briefed on the allergin information and how to safely accommodate people with allergies.

Hi there,
Firstly thank you for your review on Christmas Eve.
We apologize for how the situation was handled -clearly a communication problem as well as staff issue which will be taken on board going forward.
Thankfully we ve been in business for over 25 years and we pride ourselves on the service we provide in regards to food and drink. We will therefore address this matter with all members of staff but we can assure our kitchen is safe and all handling of food is of the highest standard.

While other Naas pubs are being conscientious in checking Covid certs and making sure that their premises don't get overcrowded,the owners of Kavanaghs have no such concerns at a time of rising numbers.No check of Covid cert,no record of numbers,just everyone packed in as if the pandemic had never happened.A disaster in the making,complete disregard for customers and staff.Avoid.

I’m not sure when you attended however from
October 22nd with the loosening of restrictions we hired security for our front door to check for covid certs and have a sign in sheet upon entry as we always have.
Prior to this perhaps a few may have slipped through the net which is a given in the hospitality sector as we try to get back on our feet in this difficult time.

4 Kavanaugh brothers from Indianapolis had our first beers in Ireland at our namesake pub in Ireland. What a way to start our one week golf tour of Ireland. We are not related, but had a great visit at a pub with a great name.

Kavanaghs is the best Naas example of the sort of pub that made Irish pubs famous worldwide. Traditional decor, an amazing array of craft beers and wines, and outstanding staff.
No better place for a comforting night in front of the turf fire with a comforting pint and good company
And Bouchon Restaurant, upstairs, is the best quality and best value restaurant in Nass - offering class French specialities made from great local ingredients.

A fantastic gathering point at the start of a night out. You may even end up staying for the duration ! Good Pint ! Very Central on Mains Street in Naas. Would strongly recommend.

Barman hands me the wrong change and when i asked he disputed it.
The owner comes by and says he'll count the till and then pretends to and says its correct.
No reciepts and no change! No honour!

This is a great pub on the Main Street in Naas. Fantastic atmosphere and plenty of cosy little alcoves to sit in. Big outdoor covered heated smoking area. Great buzz in the pub on a Saturday night when I was there. Worth a visit

Very impressive beer bar, plenty of taps and bottles beers to choose from. Was impressed with the food menu and cleanliness however a little cramped due to being extremely busy,however thats a good sign
