Ciarán is an excellent teacher and our group sailed through the weekend each of us weaving two very professional-looking baskets. Not only is he a great teacher but he helps get the basket back on track when it hits a couple of glitches. He had lunch with us which is what folks enjoy also, the social part. I gained a... More

I found out about this course in a decoration magazine. It had been on my list for a long time but never saw how to go about it. We were 6 and Ciaran explained in a lovely atmosphere how to get about the different weaving techniches. We made two amazing pieces that we were incredibly proud of. Its for all... More

My tour guide, Jim, from Ireland West Tours, brought my husband and me to this enclave. It sounds like this isn't as popular of a shopping destination for the big bus tours, as some of the other more commercial destinations. It was a real treat to be brought here, because we would never have found it on our own. We... More

A collection of artist and craft cottages and a very nice eatery with views of ocean and bay. Hand made crafts, and more at this village all in easy walk from town center of Spiddal.

A nice place to visit. Lots of small shops where you can see some of the people at work creating stuff. Stop off for a cup to tea at nice café.

Stopped Herron Spiddle Barna Road on a cold grey windy day. The craft shops were open even thought it was Sunday and looked closed. We spent a lovely couple of hours looking and buying local crafts then went into a cafe shop on site which served lovely homemade foods, chutneys etc
