Standún is a unique family-run store, situated in a traditional Connemara setting in the west of Ireland. The store is in its 3rd Generation and has been in operation for over 60 years. There is a huge variety of Aran Sweaters, Irish products, Menswear, Ladies fashion, children's clothing, Irish and International gifts and homeware and a cafe with home baking.

Ordered online late Xmas gift for my wife and item delivered within 2 days. Contacted store first to see would it be delivered on time and they told me they would do their best but couldn’t guarantee delivery for Xmas. There was no charge for shipping which was express post. Very happy as first company I had purchased this item from I had to cancel due to delay. Hope to visit your shop one day soon. Thanks very much.

LOVED It! Gorgeous Irish-made clothes, skincare, crafts, pottery and loads more. We stumbled upon this place, what a find! A real treasure trove. We were lucky, there was a sale on; beautiful clothes, jackets, knitwear. High quality and reasonable prices. LOVED it. They also serve a great coffee!

This is my favourite shop. I love the labels that they stock and you can be sure of getting a first class service from the staff. I value their advice and find that they give you an honest opinion. A special mention must be given to Marie. Is breá liom cuairt a thabhairt ar an siopa seo.

We just returned from a 15 day CIE Tour of Ireland. A stop at Standun Spiddal was part of our tour. The clerks were friendly and helpful. The selection of merchandise was wonderful and the quality excellent. We were treated to an Irish coffee while we shopped. The store offered free shipping to CIE tours and many on our bus took advantage of the offer. We are considering buying more from the online store.

Another few days in Connemara which would not be complete without at least one visit to Standun. The staff and merchandise are superb.

Always find something nice to buy here. Even got the Christmas shopping started.
How sad is that?
They have a great selection of clothing for men, women and the kid's stuff if brilliant.
Also good for kitchen things and gifts.
Nice little coffee bar too.

It was really great to visit the Spandun. The product quality was really great. And the most interesting thing is that I met my friend after 20 years in there! It was really great and a lot of memory was brought back. Really enjoyed the shopping with my friend. We bought many things, specially the Aran sweater was great. Also the gifts were good.

Forty years ago while working in Dublin, staying in Balls-bridge as a physician delivering manuscripts for a medical journal during the mail strike, I was traveling and was picked up hitchhiking between Dingle and GALWAY CITY by Martin Standun; the first of three generation Standuns who started this store. I bought my first Donegal tweeds ( hat, sweaters and sport jacket) at that time on a very small budget. I have waited this long to return and have found the store bursting with beautiful handmade Irish giftware and clothes. I have been emailing Cliona and spent several hours with the lovely Laragh, the third generation Standun's who have taken their wonderful store to a new level. The kindness, hospitality, and attention of Laragh and her entire staff was overwhelming and such a pleasure for my wife and I. We received free shipping and hope others will make their first destination Standun's before you commit to buying your gifts and treasures. We are so pleased we waited after traveling from Dublin to Dingle and the ring of Kerry, there is no question the highlight of our treasures home will be from Standun's!!!

Bought a Christmas present online expecting it to be delivered after Christmas as I was ordering late but thanks to Standun(Larash) it was express delivered and arrived today in time to be put under the tree!

Oh my goodness! This was the mecca of stores. We spent almost 2 hours looking at all the goodies. It had everything I was looking to buy. I wanted a teapot and found just the right one along with the sugar bowl and cream pitcher. I found some beautiful Irish crystal wine glasses that were on sale. We bought lots of small gifts for Christmas presents. I kept looking at a Waterford bowl and had almost talked myself out of it when my precious husband said let's get it. There were gorgeous sweaters, scarves and other Irish woolen products. The most wonderful thing was after all of our purchases we got free shipping. This saved us a bundle. We appreciated the help and the complimentary hot tea and coffee. We really enjoyed our shopping experience. Can't wait for the mailman to bring me the goodies!
