Take a trip with Thomas Faherty around the island in a pony & trap, and see the beautiful sights of Inis Mor the old-fashioned way. Pony & trap tours are a family tradition and date back to the 1940s.

You will hear wonderful stories and interesting island histories, all while taking in the amazing surroundings at a picture friendly pace. Stops are made along the route to let visitors explore. You can look for seals during low tide and hike up to Dun Aonghasa. But what makes Thomas and his tours so different? He likes to point out what other tourists may never get the chance to see, or have even heard about. Like the wormhole.

No matter the length of your stay on the island, whether you wish for a private tour

for two or an afternoon jaunt for ten, a tour can be arranged.

that accommodates to your plans.

My husband and I visited Innish Mor a few weeks ago and had the most amazing time! I had read some reviews and it was my goal to be able to see the Island with Thomas and one of his awesome horses! After we got off the ferry we walked right over to where all of the horse and carts... More

Liam and his horse (Robin) met us at the ferry in the pouring rain. He had the plastic canopy on the carriage and we all 7 of us piled in, lots of blankets supplied. Thankfully the rain stopped quite quickly and we had a tour around the island. Liam was very informative and told us some of the history of... More

We were greeted at the dock by Thomas. Luggage in hand and no reservation, he guided us up to his B&B. Sadly, they were full for the night, but his lovely wife secured a reservation for us at a nearby B&B for the evening. They even had our luggage delivered. We went on the day trip with Thomas and his... More

We arrived on the Aran Islands on Easter Sunday with no plan but plenty of excitement and enthusiasm. We opted for the short plane ride (which was amazing), arrived at the airstrip and were then taken by van into town. Once there, we were snapping some photos and noticed a very handsome horse hooked to a beautiful old red wagon.... More

We were initially going to bike around the island, but giving the pouring rain we stumbled upon this horse and buggy tour, and thank goodness we did!! We never would have found the Worm Hole otherwise (definitely the #1 must see on the island) or have learned nearly as much about the history of the island. He knows exactly where... More

Thomas (pronounced Toe Maas, with the accent on the Maas ;-) met my brother and sister and I at the docks with an offer of a horse and buggy ride around the gorgeous Irish island of Inishbofin, County Galway. We were there to visit the "Island of the White Cow" from which many of our ancestors come. The winds were... More

Visited in July and met a very nice jarvey who introduced us to the horse "Jonny cash" we had a wonderful tour with stops wherever we wanted. One of our guests was disabled and there was all the help we needed to get him on and off the carriage. A good tour with plenty of stops and great value for... More

I highly recommend Thomas Faherty pony horse and cart. He picked us up from the ferry and brought us straight to the horse and cart, was very chatty and the kids took to him straight away and to his horse Chocolate too. The tour was brilliant and he pointed out points of interest along the way, we stopped off twice... More

Me and my wife had a tour if Inis Mor in June 2015 and I'm so sorry that I can write about our experience right now after a tough year. We booked our trip by mail and Christopher, out driver, was there waiting for us with the carriage and the good horse Johnny. After few minutes waiting to check if... More
