We popped into the heritage centre and somehow got sold the 45 min historical tour! It ended up being an hour and I can honestly say one of the most interesting and fun hours I’ve spent on a rainy Thursday in a long time. The...More

It is a very well done heritage center with modern presentations of the history. There are also guides dressed in period attire which made it very fun and entertaining for the kids.

Fortunately, when we turned up, there was a guided tour running not long after. First part was an informative and interesting film. second part was the church, and then the castle. We really enjoyed it. Had a look around the village afterwards too.

I came to visit Dalkey for two reasons - one, because Dublin was so difficult to get around as a result of the Pope's visit but more importantly because I'm a serious Maeve Binchy fan. The town is lovely, the Lobster Festival looked like great...More

The Castle tour really brought history to life. The actors were very convincing and informative. The living room with associated furniture and props helped bring you right back in time.
