Slí Cholmcille a walk from Glencholmcille to Derry done in our case over 12 days (6 weekends )
I couldn’t commend this company highly enough. I was part of a group doing Slí Cholmcille from South Donegal to Derry. Fiona is a very professional guide great attention to detail and made sure everyone was ok. If there were any difficulties she could always see a solution. Her positivity shone through. We learnt a lot about the stunning areas we were traversing and it was great to brush up on the Irish language. Most of all she brought out the best in us in terms of rising to challenges and made sure we had great craic on the way!

When Guided Walks with Fiona become Treasured Memories.
The guided walks with Fiona were among the highlights of my summer. The in-depth preparation she had done in advance ensured that we were able to walk at our own ability level while enjoying stunning views of Bunbeg's coastline and hills. She easily shared historical facts, folklore and her knowledge of the beautiful surroundings to enrich the walks and it is not surprising that she welcomed a little puppy onto the walk and made sure he got home safely! I recommend Fiona to everyone who is ready for a very special experience with a professional, knowledgeable and compassionate guide.

    Simply beautiful.....
I've been watching Fiona and Cois Mara Adventures for some time now on Instagram and I love her posts, showing the best of Donegal beauty and all to be explored. Months later, I finally found a window in early February '24 and with my friend Ailbhe we headed to Donegal to walk with Fiona. We had hoped to do a tour of Gola island, however, the weather decided to not play ball and we opted for plan B, a coastal walk, and it did not disappoint! Meeting Fiona at Maghery Beach she drove us to a further point to walk back to Maghery. About 8km. Everything was planned beautifully, including handfuls of sugary (fat free!) sweets to keep our energy up! Fiona, is fun, engaging, highly knowledgeable on the history of the locality and we learned a lot! The weather was kind, the sun shone, the wind blew and just as we landed back to Maghery car park the rain came! Our walk took just over two hours at a nice pace as we chatted about life, fauna and flora, local characters and history, and stopping to take copious amounts of images of the astonishingly beautiful views. We loved our walk with Fiona and she is also part of the beauty of this experience, as she is simply a beautiful person. Go on take it Fiona! We will be back for sure and next time to hopefully get plan A over the line and the boat trip out to Gola! Thank you Fiona. Go néirí an bothar leat.....

    Rathlin Island Day Trip
We are a group of friends and family, new and old, with a variety of age groups from 10 to 75 visiting Rathlin Island. Some of us had previously walked with Cois Mara In Fiona’s native Donegal and decided to ask her to guide us again. I did not think it was possible to improve on last year’s experience but Fiona’s attention to detail is amazing and knowing from last year that we are not the fastest walkers in the world, insisted we kept to a time schedule, making sure we maximised our experience on this beautiful island sharing her vast knowledge of history, flora and fauna. Her love of our fascinating country shines though everything she does and I could not recommend Cois Mara highly enough, in fact we have already booked her for our next adventure!!

We had a great day visiting Gola with Fiona. She could explain everything we wanted to know and so much more, including insights into local culture and the language. Our family is from the area and so is hers, so this made it super special! Fiona was attentive throughout and made sure we were safe and felt comfortable with the route. Beautiful views and a wonderful experience!
