Last October, my husband and I took a 7 day trip through various cities in Ireland. We stopped at castles, parks, local pubs, and enjoyed the scenic views of the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park. Trekking at Ballyhannon House was, by far, one of my favorite parts of the trip. I hope to one day make it back... More

Great day out! Lovely staff and the trail was absolutely beautiful. Our guide Pablo done a fantastic job of showing us the basics. Flossy was an absolute dream to handle. Bear in mind that "Luna" is an abbreviation for lunatic! Great fun was had by all.

They accommodated me for a last minute late afternoon trek. My guide, Emily, led me along the country lanes during a light rain. Then the sky cleared and a rainbow appeared over the pastures. A winding trail through the woods capped off a delightful ride. My horse, Hector, responded well and wasn't bothered by the occasional car on the lanes.... More

Booked at the last minute and was warmly welcomed despite being a large group and not giving much notice. The yard is very well kept and the horses are in top condition. Johnny is an absolute gentleman with great knowledge of horses and a real people's person he made our visit one to remember. We had a great time and... More

It was a last minute decision, but Johnny, the proprietor, was fantastic in accommodating my late evening request. He called me back right away to confirm the ride. I was good to go for a 3 hour trek along with another experienced rider. The countryside was glorious Johnny's depth of knowledge about the horses and countryside was amazing. We were... More

We three women ages 20-50 had an amazing time riding at Ballyhannon! Jonny made us very comfortable on the horses right away and included some very interesting trust exercises while explaining the connection between horse and rider. This allowed you to become more relaxed and connected with your horse, no matter your comfort level around them. We had so much... More

After 2 1/2 weeks and five countries, our day at Ballyhannon was one of the most memorable and enjoyable! The setting is unbelievable, the horses are beautiful, and the staff are knowledgeable, professional, and above all, fun to spend the afternoon with. Johnny, the owner, will treat you like a local, and make you feel at home even when thousands... More

Great option if you're staying at Dromoland Castle or nearby. The owner is an extraordinary host, he'll take you to the best spots and a very nice walk through the woods. Very friendly and patient with non experts.

What a wonderful morning we had with Ballyhannon House. We were picked up at our hotel by the owner and proprietor, John, who is a terrific and friendly guy. He then turned us over to Patrick to get us "booted and suited". We absolutely loved that they lend you boots to wear! Once we were fitted with boots and helmets,... More
