    CAN'T GIVE ENOUGH PRAISE!
I do not think there is enough space on this form to show how grateful I am to this Centre, Not only did I find out that my 3rd g grandfather had a seat in a castle, I actually found new Cousins! How they went above and beyond leaves me speechless! I cannot thank Antionette enough!

    Amazing Amazing experience.......
Antoinette was amazing. My mother was brought up in the Irish institution in Ennis. Antoinette prepared a thorough report about my mother's family and history. My mother was very over whelmed and emotional by the detail and information. some she didn't even know about. We brought my mother to Ireland to meet Antoinette who made herself available. She drove my mother to where she was born and where some of the family was buried. very emotional and informative. my mother is planning another trip.

Legendary work. Can't wait to return.
Antoinette and her team at Clare Heritage & Genealogy are a group of brilliant and tenacious leaders dedicated to finding and preserving answers that really brought to life my connection to this beautiful place that I hope to visit more often in the future. The foundation of everything I have become is because of what happened here, it's an unparalleled work ethic and commitment to family. Grateful to have met my cousins, Christy, Theresa and Paddy as a result of this effort & to learn the incredible common interests we share. Proud to say this plot of land from the 1840's is still in the family today and it was a powerful experience visiting. One I will never forget.

    Tracing family
We first visited Clare Heritage & Genealogy Centre in July 2019 to hopefully gain some knowledge of my grandmother’s life there. In 24 hours Antoinette came up with enough information for us to get a feel of what her life was like prior to immigrating to Australia in 1914. In the next couple of years Antoinette gathered more information for us including finding a cousin of my mothers that still lived in the area. We returned in June 2023 to meet this beautiful 93 year old lady who my mother never knew existed as she passed away in 2019. We even got to see the family home that my grandmother grew up in. I cannot recommend this place enough. They are thorough and very knowledgeable. Don’t hesitate to speak with them.

Our family’s first contact with Clare Genealogy Centre was in 1989, when, through their help, we were able to make contact with our ancestral family and find the farm they were on in Tullygarvan. This was the farm my great grandfather emigrated from to Australia. I went there in May 2023 to follow up and found them to be a very useful resource. In both cases Antoinette was our contact person and her knowledge of the background history, as well as local history, enabled us to put things in context. I would highly recommend a visit to this Centre if you’re searching for more information about your family.

Antoinette is extremely thorough and is very familiar with and knowledgeable about County Clare. From a birth/baptismal record of one of my ancestors, she noted that they lived at Birchfield at the time of his baptism. She gave me more detailed information about that estate and its owner to give us a better understanding of how the tenants who resided there lived. She also told us that the ruins of the estate were still visible from the road so we could see them.

My advice would be to plan ahead and make an appointment in advance. I hadn't planned on stopping at the heritage center but was advised by a local to go there. Antoinette went out of her way to squeeze me into her schedule, so I was fortunate in that regard.

I contacted Clare Geneology Centre to research my Irish heritage and to compile this information into a book. They were meticulous in their research and provided me with so much more information than I thought possible. I dealt with a Miss O’Bryen and I felt she was as interested in finding out about my ancestors as I was! I cannot recommend this Centre highly enough. I hope to visit personally in thé not too distant future. Excellent experience.

Professional staff who helped trace my family history in Clare. For a fee, they assembled a report that included parish records, census returns, maps, and relevant local history. Excellent communication and customer service. Very generous with their time and expertise. I hope to one day visit Museum to thank them in person.

The words "life altering" may sound dramatic, but the outcome of our experience with Antoinette O'Bryen (the genealogist) was just that. As a gift to my wife for our upcoming trip to Ireland, I hired Antionette to do some research on her grandfather, who had immigrated to the US in the 1920s. We had his date of birth, home town, and date of death. The report we were given was overwhelming. She listed his siblings, parents, generational ancestors, birth/death/land records and so much more. Thanks to her help, we visited the church in which her grandparents were baptised and married. We also visited the graveyard where her relatives were buried. The most amazing part of the trip, however, was her reaching out to some of her relatives directly. This lead to an organized "family reunion" of sorts, the likes of which we will never forget. Antoinette was simply a miracle worker in her ability to research and connect. This may have been some of the best money we ever spent. I can not recommend this service highly enough.

One of the best moves I ever made in genealogy research was to turn our family history over to the skilled staff at the Clare Heritage & Genealogy Center. While I had been researching records for years and was familiar with the resources they used, I just could not make sense of the information about my great-great grandparents who ultimately emigrated to the United States. I had taken many expensive and excellent workshops from people skilled in the field of Irish genealogy, learned a lot, read tons of Irish Catholic parish records, and still couldn’t put it together. I needed to find someone on the ground in the area we were researching with access to records that were not online, and with the background to put it all together. When I recently received the report on my family history from the Clare Heritage and Genealogy Center, and read through the narrative of the research process, it all started to make much more sense. Had I contacted them years ago I would have saved a tremendous amount of time and money, and would be back in Ireland visiting today!
