This us one of the most beautiful theatres in the country. We have been here to see Broadway plays, The Knoxville Symphony, The Knoxville Opera, Hollywood stars, concerts and Music Legends perform. It is a very nicely laid out venue and their really is not a bad seat in the whole house. In addition the accoustics are really good.

The Tennessee Theater was built in 1928 and has a gorgeous interior. I would call it opulent. Over the decades it began to show it's age and in 2005 it had a multi-million dollar restoration. I have had the opportunity to attend several concerts at the Tennessee Theater. The theater itself is beautiful, the seats are comfortable, and no matter where you are seated, you feel as if you are sitting very close to the stage/performance.

If you have never visited the Tennessee you have missed out. Over the years we have attended concerts, comedy shows as well as classic movies. Even an art show. this is a special place bringing the grand opulence of the past into the future.

Tennessee theater is a awesome place to go to. And to see a concert or whatever your seeing. The only problem i have with the theater is. They sell liquor and beer. I dont drink and thats not the problem. The problem is everyone. Getting up that's sitting in your row. That's going to get more beer or more drinks.... More

The flagship Tennessee Theater is a stunning showcase for the fine arts in the city of Knoxville. Sporting the refined and restored look of a $21.5 million renovation program, the theater echoes the best of the past and drives the spirit of the future. Young and old will appreciate the rich cultural heritage of this magnificent icon of the past.
