I visit every time I come to Knoxville and it is always something new and worth it every time. Great views of the city. The elevator gets a bit scary at times but has not failed us yet.

Hold on to your had in the elevator, just kidding. the ride to the top is something. When those doors open the view is spectacular & breath-taking. Be sure & go up there with someone who know Knoxville & can point out the land marks.

a great place to allow children free rein with close proximity to downtown activity and events! a big asset would be convenient parking as it is virtually nonexistent. the World's Fair Tower is in sad repair and the elevator to the observation deck is very sketchy in appearance. the ceiling vent looked to be a biohazard in that it had... My husband and I visit the Park often. It is on the 10-acre site of Knoxville’s 1982 World's Fair. The Sun Sphere, Knoxville Convention Center, Museum of Art and Amphitheater are in walking distance. The Park is a large open lawn, with streams and waterfalls. Good camera site. The Veterans Memorial, at the entrance, has names of 6,200 veterans from East... More

Walking distance from the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Located in World's Fair Park, the last location in the United States to house a Worlds Fair. The view from the top of the Sunsphere is 360 degrees of beautiful scenery and full of information regarding history, sports, attractions, etc. A Must Do!!

Nice place for events; water features; World's Fair tower; civic center; mostly concrete; nice playground adjoins.

Since we visited in the winter we couldn't take advantage of all the park but it was nice to see the ampitheater and the sun sphere. In the summer there are splash parks and play areas that probably have lots of kids of all ages. One end of the park does have a veterans memorial.

The park is a remnant of the 1982 World's Fair (which must have been small because the park itself is not sizeable}. This is the ground where the fair was held on what used to be a railroad yard. The trains are gone but what remains is a likeable area of grass and trees just made for strolling as well... More

I returned with my family after having been here in 1982 for the World's Fair. We stopped on a Thursday and had the place to ourselves. The sphere is a neat stop and it's cool to have a look around the city from up high. If you are nearby, also check out the chocolate shop on the northwest side of... More

I enjoyed visiting World's Fair Park on November 30, 2016. I took the elevator to the observation deck of the Sunsphere and enjoyed a marvelous view of Knoxville. My review of the Sunsphere is also on TripAdvisor. There is no charge for going up to the observation deck. I also looked at the large Rubik's cube model that was part... More
