Our son & his girlfriend rent an apartment on Gay street! Very quaint and we loved the architecture! Walking around with our dog was great because the city is very pet friendly. Highly recommend.

A reviilized part of town with buildings converted to pubs and restaurants. I wasn’t overly impressed but then again we had already eaten. Good part is its serviced by the free trolley

I walked all the way from Market Square and was sorry and tired. Not worth it as they're working on buildings and there just isn't much to see.

There are so many good restaurants and pubs to choose from, and often groups of people of all ages seeking fine dining and shopping from any of the eclectic art shops. There is an authentic Scottish Pub (Scotch Eggs) a creperie and newer upscale corner...More

I enjoyed taking several minutes to walk through part of Old City Knoxville on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. But, although the area contains a variety of restaurants and shops, much of the area seems either under construction or vacant. The free Knoxville trolley green route...More

Old City is my husband and I's favorite part of Knoxville. We love to visit here and explore all the old pubs in the area.

I've read some of the reviews of old city and feel they are embellished and overly critical. In fact the best two restaurants in the city are here (lonesome Dove and melting pot - read my write ups). I've written reports on trip advisor in...More

They have done a lot to fix up the Old City. It's cleaner and nicer but still a little creepy for my taste. If you like unique bars, nightlife, and small restaurants, you might like this. There is also free parking at one end where...More
