Visited the planetarium. Great show. Enjoyed our barge trip. Walked around and saw the deer, wolves and many other amazing animals. Sponsoring one of the otters. A great experience. Will definitely return.

Very nice scenic park and pavilion was a great place for a birthday party. The weather was perfect, too!! We spent the afternoon together and with the sounds of a running brooke in the background. It was a perfect spot for this gathering!

We spent a lovely cloudy day with Easter visitors at Bays Mountain. Planetarium program, animal habitats and barge ride. The boys were impressed with the herpetarium and walked around the lake (2.3 miles). I'd say it's the best ticket in town for low stress family...More

I especially enjoy the presentations at the planetarium. You sit in a comfortable chair while they project the screen upon the ceiling. The trails are great, along with the zoo. It’s a great place to bring the kids or have a picnic.

When in the Kingsport, TN area, invest at least a couple of hours visiting Bays Mountain Park. Please read about it on their website or on the City of Kingsport website. I have been visited there off and on since their opening in the 1970s....More

Well, there is the lake and some beach areas. I've never seen anyone swimming in the lake though. At the foot of the mountain there is a very nice indoor/outdoor YMCA complete with several pools, a lazy river and a couple... More

Like the others say, it's $10. My teenage son and I did the zip line. The instructions take longer than the ride, really.
