I first visited the Jonesborough Repertory Theater on February 3rd, 2017 for the incredible performance of Kiss Me Kate. I was so impressed, that on a return visit I immediately booked the performance of You Can't Take it With You. I have seen dozens of Broadways Plays in New York City, dozens more in Chicago and other major cities, and... More

Performances are quite good overall.... they do musicals much, much better. Amazing local talent, we've been many times. They did an amazing performance with Shrek the Musical, Singing in the Rain and surprisingly, It's a Wonderful Life. Some performances drag a bit too long. JRT needs to keep performances at two hours.

As a resident of Jonesborough, I continue to be amazed at the talent such a small town provides. I have never been to a play that I did not leave with a "wow" feeling! It is a small theater with a superb cast, sound, talent, and costumes that would make Edith Head proud!

This is a great venue for local talent to be showcased. The scale is small but there is no shortage of entertainment. The shows here are great.

I visited there for The 1940s USO Show and found the experience to be positive. The music was good, costumes were beautiful and creative, and performers were excellent. The only problem was finding parking, so it is important to get there early.

We have been attending the JRT shows for many years and have enjoyed each and every show. . Everyone who contributes their talents is giving everything they have to entertaining their audience. They are in the process of expanding their theater and that is a big plus for their loyal fans ! Don't hesitate to attend any production that strikes... More

The 1940s USO show is amazing. Local talent pelts out songs from the 1940s, jokes typical for that time frame, and dancing. Highly recommend!! Small venue.

My husband, my parents, and I saw a musical review. We were very impressed with the production values, the costuming, and the quality of the music. Everyone was very nice at the theater too. My only issues were that the bathrooms were woefully inadequate (very small, not working properly) and the theater seats were too narrow for big hips...ouch.

We recently caught a solout weekend show of "Swing". What a fun, fast, high energy show. They really make the most of their small stage and the local quality preformers. Obvious passion shown by all the staff and very much worth the small admission price. Don't waited to buy your tickets as most shows sell out quickly.
