Have been here many times love the animals and the park board walk. Wonderful place to just spend time reflecting on life and it's up's and down's. Great place to releave stress, and clear your mind.

I love walking there but there are large holes in some areas of the boards just begging for a lawsuit

If you like walking and taking in the nature of a place, this is the place to go. Natural habitat of all species that you see in this park.

the concrete giraffe caught our eye as we went through Jackson so the next morning we got a cup of coffee and went there for a "breakfast" in the park. It was a great way to spend a fall morning. Worth the visit. Lots to...More

Good walking area, even for a stroller. Bring bug spray because it is in a marshy area. Most is shaded by trees. There is a bird sanctuary there. The birds make it fun! It's quiet too.

This was a nice break in our travel. The Park walk was mostly shaded and seeing that it was also used as a healing place for different kind of birds was a plus. The walk needed some repair to it, I would be uncomfortable for...More

The park is falling into disrepair. The trails is entirely via boardwalks; and some of the boardwalks are so damaged, you could easily lose your footing if you weren't looking. However, the forest itself is pretty neat. There are three main "attractions": 1. Killdeer pond,...More

We were happily surprised by this wonderful place but wish we would have known these three things. 1) Its slippery. I guess I should have known with all the cool boardwalks under trees in a swamp it would make for slippery conditions but I just...More

I would think so. It is a quite nature walk usually with a few couples around. If you feel uncomfortable, there is usually park personnel around.

In my opinion yes--the paths are a sandy dirt base encountering a small rock here and there. There are a very few wooden plank crossings but mostly smooth. I did notice at least two groups with strollers and did not seem to... More
