My wife and I wanted a break and a light lunch while driving from Nashville to Memphis and the reviews were OK. The place is dreadful; the shop sells nothing but tourist tat, the museum was shut (it was a Sunday morning,) and the queues...More

We really enjoyed the museum and getting to walk around on the train. It was fun to imagine what it would have been like to shovel coal or be the engineer. It was interesting to learn about Casey Jones and how he saved a train...More

We are train lovers, and have lived in Tennessee all our lives. We passed by signs for this place dozens of times on trips but this time decided to stop and I'm glad we did. The gift shop is cute, but geared towards kids, but...More

Museum was interesting for both kids ( 7, and 9), and adults. Nice shops, and restaurant, all in walking area. Even for elderly with walkers.

Back in the 1970's - 80's places like this were CHARMING... unfortunately greed forced people to MAKE PROFITS over VALUES... so till wholesome VALUES make a comeback, people are going to HAVE TO be satisfied with MAKE-BELIEVE Southern hospitality. TOO BAD, there IS real charm...More

The breakfast buffet, is great!!! The store reminds me of Cracker Barrel, but the food is so much better. Love the old-fashioned ice cream parlor, everything about the place is fun!!

When we visited the museum had a small entrance fee but I cannot verify what they are today. This is a very nice attraction in a small rural city - please enjoy.
