We went here on a cold misty day in December. There was hardly anyone there. The lake seemed low and the trails were deserted. It's a good place to go to get away from it all. Seemed kind of dreary on the day we went....More

Thanks for visiting. It seems as though a busier time of your would better meet your expectations. We hope you'll visit us again in the spring or summer if you enjoy more activity at the park.

We visited this Park two days in a row. Beautiful! The first day we strolled through a wooded area. We saw a few baby deer, and could even approach them without spooking them. We walked out the pier and took in the site's views. The...More

Coming from Long Island NY , I'm very familiar with Pine Barrens. We went here specifically to take a easy loop hike with my 2 small dogs. Well on the plus side, there was no one there. If I was biking, I would give it...More

Thanks for the review, Kimmy. We're sorry the park did not meet your expectations. We do hope you'll visit some of our neighboring state parks to find one that is a better fit. There are some great ones in the area.

We walked the two-mile loop around the lake and my son kept a running tally of all the wild life we saw - at least 10 different kinds of animals. Great short hike on a paved trail for the little ones. The Bryant Grove beach...More

Calming nature hike, not a very challenging walk but nice views of the lake. A few walks I have seen deer and other walks I've seen a great lake loon. There are signs forbidding use of the lake.
