I like doing the Arts Scene tour on the first Friday of the month, but it is not as great as it used to be. There were only a limited number of galleries open and a limited number of places offering free food and wine....More

Lots of history in this small town. Also, great dining and shopping. We had a little trouble finding a parking spot but once that was taken care of everything was within easy walking distance.

You can't miss taking a few hours in downtown Franklin. Stop in at Gray's on Main during lunch. You'll be greeted by the owner, Joni. She's amazing. If you can go in an "off" time, you'll get the real experience of Franklin. GREAT town. I

Resturants are nice but can be crowded at dinner hours. Includes resturants and bars + shops. NOT like downtown Nashville which is a good thing.

A wonderful off the trail visit. Start at the visitors center. There are many shops and restaurants to visit in downtown but there are many other attractions nearby that the visitors center can help with. Saturday is the best day to visit. If you can...catch...More

Nice place to enjoy lunch or dinner after viewing the Carter House, Lotz House and Carnton Plantation. We ran short of time but would have enjoyed walking around this pretty town.

Sorry. We did not see any in Franklin but if you trip on over to Nashville, Main St, very safe, friendly and lots of places to eat.

Not always but if they have a band playing and you want to make sure you see the band, it will help. The band normally doesn't play until 8pm so if you're eating before 7pm, you'll probably be able to walk right in.
