Not just walking tours, we now offer bicycle tours and rentals too. The ghost tour is our most popular tour, but visitors also love hearing about the rich past that lies just beneath the surface of Franklin's quaint Victorian charm. Site of "the most famous battle you've never heard of," according to National Geographic, Franklin's Civil War story will amaze and enlighten you on the most divisive time in American history. Just minutes south of Nashville, Franklin is often cited as one of the most beautiful downtowns in the U.S. Our enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides will make your visit to historic Franklin an unforgettable experience. Our tours include the Classic Franklin city tour, Civil War in Franklin, Grave Matters in the Cemetery, and for fans of evening activities, the Haunted Franklin, Ghosts of the Battlefield at the Lotz House and Murder and Mayhem Tours. Bicycle tours and rentals are available from March-November and our Southern Style food tours allow visitors to savor the flavors of Franklin and enjoy history at the same time. Most tours are available daily by advance reservation; some tours have minimums. Just call and see how flexible and accommodating we can be.

My husband and I took shuttle from our hotel to Franklin. I still had a few people to buy Christmas presents for,so we walking to shops. Every place was so unique and cozy with hand made stuff and hand made aromas! Loved it! And yes I did find my gifts there. 👍

I always wanted to do the Ghost Tour with Franklin on Foot but I never was able to. Finally, the time had come when Halloween was just around the corner and I decided that it was time to try the tour! My guide was Alicia and she was absolutely phenomenal! She was very energetic and fun! She just kept telling... More

This was my first ghost tour and it was amazing! Alicia was our tour guide. I loved learning about different ghost encounters, the people themselves and their lives and the effects of the battle of franklin had on them.

Our first visit to historic Franklin required some context so we took this excellent tour. Alyssa was our wonderful guide to this beautiful city. Over two hours she told us stories as we walked around the town. The time flew by. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone.

Margie gave us so much interesting information! Lots of facts, but always in the form of fantastic story narrative with great human interest. Made us eager for more and didn't want it to end! We'll definitely return for one the other tours! i.e. the Ghost Tour!

In late October on a beautiful fall day, we had the pleasure of learning about the Civil War in Franklin, Tennessee, with Margie during a walking tour offered through her company called Franklin On Foot. This lady knows her stuff! She went above and beyond to introduce us to the people, places, events, and daily life conditions which were part... More

We took the Civil War tour with Marge. So very interesting. She is a great historian and made the battlefields very memorable. My husband is a Civil War buff and he enjoyed every minute as well. The Southern Food tasting tour was just as memorable. What a perfect way to try the Franklin restaurants. We went to five restaurants and... More

Reenactors are terrific. They are talented individuals with a true passion for the history of which they present. Their presentations are excellent. Tour could use a little organization. Other cemetery tours we've been on have someone directing and leading groups from one stop to the next. Also seemed to be a small group of VERY disrespectful teenage females. Loud, laughing,... Took the classic tour in the morning with Markie and the GHOST tour at night with Alicia. Enjoyed both tours! Learned so much about the Battle of Franklin. My husband loves the Civil War history and was very pleased with what we learned. The Ghost Tour was fun because we had many young people with us. It was just scary... More
