It's a good place to walk around and read about the history, but I definitely would make it a day trip. If you're in town and like history, great place. You can also walk down to the park and it's close to downtown Franklin!

It is somewhat hard to locate. Small but informative. A park area with a raised boardwalk highlighting with placards aspects of Franklin's Civil War battles and skirmishes. Much review of the Franklin Civil War Battle experience.

Too bad most of the area closed; would love to have been able to access informational stations; however, it is great that they are trying so hard to preserve the area. It's wonderful that we can still feel and relive events from 150 years ago....More

Probably best to read up on history of Fort Granger before visiting so that way you will fully appreciate the layout of the grounds.
