Great Barbera and Sangiovese. The red made from the pressings is also very good. A great place for a picnic. Whites are not as good.

We visited La Cantina with another couple and found this little gem! The lovely Tuscan gentleman who served us was just adorable! Going through the wines they produced and answering all our questions. A very genuine experience! Their wines are very reasonably priced and very high quality! Well done - we are looking forward to ordering more of your delicious... More

La Cantina winery is set in a beautiful stone building, lovingly hand built by the family. The grandfather was a stone mason who had then taught his son the trade. We were served by Peter who was a delight to chat to and told us the story of how long the building had taken to build and how it was... More

Set in a lovely tasting room with a generous wine maker-his samples were not small! Loved the Shiraz but I have noted from other reviewers that preservative free means not a long shelf life. Is that correct?

Lovely cellar door and genuine love put into making of the wine but none of our party liked the wine. Would appeal to those that particularly want a wine with no preservatives

The wines that are produced at La Cantina are preservative free and as a result long cellaring periods are not an option. The wine is therefore young and fresh, without the complex favours produced by aging. The maximum aging period is between 3 to 5 years. The wine is excellent and particularly well priced with an amazing number of varieties... More

Something different ! No preservatives - and a fortified. We quite enjoy the Shiraz and the new fortified wine. Worth a taste and a visit. If just for the setting.

Allergic to preservative 220 I find it hard to source good preservative free wines. La Cantina's charming and rustic cellar door is inviting and reminiscent of the Italian style on which they base their wine making. The wines are extremely good value for money ($16-22 per bottle) and I can highly recommend the nebiollo and barbera for red wine lovers!
