Very small and out of the way. Might be a little difficult for a tourist to find. Despite being beside the interstate, it is a very quite and peaceful place. I wish there were more information sign of plaques on the site to tell more...More

The cemetery itself is well kept. Located near Baroness Ehrlinger Hospital and free parking on the street. My daughter spent a good while investigating and taking pics. There are two more cemeteries adjoining this one - one Jewish and one regular.

We pass this every time we go to McKay's (which you should go there to!;) we looked it up when studying the Civil War. It is different from so many that are out in fields...being so close to commercial development. Still a testament to families...More

As you walk through the gates you can just imagine the battle that took place here. There are rocks that soldiers carved their names which makes it even more real. If you enjoy Civil War History this is a must visit.

My husband loves history and I love old cemeteries. This was a perfect place for us to go and walk through. It's rich in history and so interesting.

It is well worth the time to visit this small cemetery. It is unique in that it was a burial place for unknown soldiers. It is a good place for a time of quiet reflection.

Oddly enough a cemetery brings to life the men that fought and died during the critical battles of Chattanooga and Chickamauga. These were real people and each gravesite makes the loss of a real family so many years ago.

Those who would most enjoy this are people with a deep interest in the Civil War and knowledge of the battles and aftermath in Chattanooga. Those buried here died in local "hospitals" after the battle. There was a redoubt (currently a soccer field) close by...More

This is a very moving place to see. You must go. Many young men and boys lost there lives in Chattanooga. It is part of our history as a nation.

I had to climb walls to get inside (perhaps an entrance I couldn't see) and was saddened - perhaps lack of funding but the grounds were not kept. Not a lot of advertising - I stumbled on it.
