Was looking for something to do on a cold Sunday and decide to give a train ride a go. Loved it. Going on a day long ride next weekend. You can bring food and drink along. Fun and informative as the conductor provides history and points of interest.

Took the Missionary Ridge train this afternoon, and it was a great little outing for a family visit. Conductor gave some interesting history with a casual relaxing ride through Chattanooga. Looking forward to the Hiawasee trip next.

My husband and I took the Valentine Dinner Train and it was wonderful. The food was great and the service superb. It was very intimate and a great way to spend Valentine's evening. I would recommend it to any couple wanting a quiet dinner getaway.

This museum can be a lot of fun. But if you love trains it is amazing. True working trains. They do the Thomas the train thing at least once a year and you can take a trip on the trains too.

They were closed the day I went but the staff was so nice to let me walk around and take pictures. The trains are terrific and I even got photos of a working train on the tracks.

It was very educational. The turn table was really neat to see and they showed you the trains they are currently working on.

I went to the TN Valley Railroad museum and took their Missionary Ridge Local train ride. The train was in really good condition compared to the ones you ride in the Big South Fork. I really enjoyed the ride down to the East Chattanooga stop to see the locomotive being rotated on a turntable. Also, the Missionary Ridge Tunnel that... More

This is really a wondereful thing to do with kids especially if your children are into trains. Little like this anywhere in the U.S.

We took my elderly parents here and even they were bored! The train went in the woods, down a little ways very slowly, then backed back to the station. We couldn't see any sights! My parents visited from Wisconsin and were very disappointed. They wanted to see some of Tennessee or Chattanooga. This was called the local so we thought... More

This was super fun and cozy. Lots of details. Conductor and commentator wore uniforms from 1940s era style. Train ride was informative, local, 2 quick trips, one to a service yard, walk around looking at old steam engines, watch the engine be turned around on a turn table, ride back to the depot.
