We took our 2 young kids on the Missionary Ridge 1 hour round trip ride. It was a fun ride that everyone enjoyed. Next time we're in the area, we will probably come back and try a longer train ride.

From the moment they stopped the train short to allow my elderly mother to use a boarding ramp we knew this was a first hand operation. You have to plan ahead if you want steam and we didn't but it was still a lot of...More

We were part of a group of 19 who went on a 6 mile round trip on vintage cars pulled by a steam locomotive. At the halfway point we got off the train and the locomotive and tender pull onto the turntable and get turned...More

I actually thought it was interesting, I've never been on a train. Plus, we saw a turn around with the train engine. I plan to return to take my granddaughter. it was interesting.

We stayed the night in Chattanooga while on our way home the gulf coast. We wanted something to do while in town and the Missionary Ridge Local was perfect. We arrive about 30 minutes prior to departure, purchased tickets, and hung around the depot until...More

All things railroad. We started at Chattanooga Grand Junction Station and had a ride of about 3 miles to East Chattanooga following the East Tennessee , Virginia and Georgia line . At East Chattanooga the train was disconnected and turned around on a Lazy Susan...More

This ride was just not worth it. Some things TVRM has control over, other things, they do not. We rode on June 10, 2017 and experienced two long delays due to Norfolk Southern issues. We sat at the station about 30 minutes past departure time....More

Station is well kept. Even though we only did a short trip, it was enough to give us an idea of what train travel was like. We will do a longer trip next time.

I love trains and the train ride at the TVR was a blast for me and my 4 year old. They only do the steam locomotives on the weekends and special occasions and run a diesel during the week. The cars are refurbished vintage passenger...More

We took the Missionary Ridge Local train ride. It was nice, but not life altering. We rode in an air-conditioned train car on the way to the turntable and shop. We went through a long tunnel, which was pretty cool. When we got to the...More

Two adults, a 6 y/o boy, and a 3 y/o boy. Looking for opinions between Bunny Train (2-hour trip on Saturday or Sunday), Dinner on the Diner (Saturday night), or the Missionary Ridge Local (1-hour trip on Monday or Tuesday morning)? We will be there in April. Thanks.
