I took my granddaughter who is 7 and she enjoyed the ride but was completely uninterested in Point Park once we got to the top. I think this better suited to older kids and adults. It is a must see if you're a history buff!

We lucked out and accidentally started from the top. If you decide to do it, park at the Point Park lot for free, rather than pay the $2 at the St Elmo end. It is not air conditioned, and can get crowded. The observation deck views are cool

We took the incline train on a clear day for the first ride up of the day. They open at 10:00 a.m. Trip up was interesting. There are some information boards at the base that are worth reading before you take the incline. Take the time to walk around at the top. There are some beautiful homes. We also went... More

This is the world's steepest incline railway. It is about a mile long but at the top the incline is about 73 degrees ! Tremendous views on the way up & at the top. At the top there is a pleasant park around lookout mountain

I must say going straight up the mountain made me a little nervous. The view through the glass roof was neat looking at the city down below. It was a neat little ride.

Very fun, yet relaxing ride to the top of Lookout mountain! Nice gift store and observation deck as well. The mechanical room was pretty neat too! While we were there we walked the 3 blocks down to Point Park and toured it as well. Highly recommend this attraction!

Always a cool attraction for the family. The views of the valley are awesome and there is a park at the top to walk around in. Also a gift shop.

We took the round trip ride on the Incline Railway today and it was a rather interesting experience. The staff were all very accommodating and the history of the railway was a great addition to the experience. The price was $15.00 per person which seemed a bit high for what it was but the place was pretty crowded so I... More

We have been on a number of incline railways around the world. This is the steepest we have ever been on. Being able to look through the top of the car provided outstanding views. Getting to the top enabled us to visit the national battlefield park only 3 blocks away.

This was a great experience. It was recommended that we do this as our first adventure. It really set the stage for a great vacation. You do ride straight up to Lookout Mountain. The observation sites were great. We then strolled over to Point Park which had a great trail with lots of observation points. In the middle of the... More
