The top of Lookout Mountain is the place to be to see into 7 states. It's a great view of the Tennessee River and how it bends around the city. It's just a must place to go in Chattanooga.

Long drive up, but charming little country store en route, and fantastic views from the top. Wish I were more familiar with the area to know what I was looking at in the distance!

Look out mountain was absolutely beautiful. A great adventure for kids no younger than 5 maybe. My husband seemed to really enjoy the views, which means a lot because he's afraid of heights.

Lookout Mountain is tapered on both sides with an escarpment of short cliffs at the crest, so when driving up the mountain you really don't get a sense of height until right at the top, and then only for about 1/4 mile and... More
