We had such a great time at Ruby Falls! We purchased the combo tickets which included Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, and Rock City. Going down into the cave system to see the falls was really fun. Our guide, Doug, made the experience even better. He was extremely funny and entertaining while at the same time informative. He kept us... More

I don't care if it's manufactured - it's still fun to go underground and see where the water used to flow freely. Now they help it along, but I think they should be above board - a tour guide leveled with me, but said they don't like it to be made public. Why? Because they charge too much. My kids... More

The largest underground waterfall in North America, really an amazing cave. We had Doug as our tour guide, a real character. We would have preferred more information about the geology of the cave and a bit less home-spun "life lessons" on the tour, but he was entertaining. Definitely worth a visit.

Once you get to the waterfall its kinda cool, but smaller than pictures make it seem. Keep in mind, I'm not one that likes being underground especially the length of the Empire State Building underground.

We went after Thanksgiving and since it was my first time didn't realize those lines outside the building meant it was going to be insanely crowded in the cave. We spent most of the time of our tour smashing ourselves against the cave wall so that groups leaving the place could pass. I kept noticing NONE of them were smiling... More

My boyfriend and I took the tour of Ruby Falls and both enjoyed it, though it was kind of touristy and I prefer more of a raw geological look at land formations such as this. I've been to cave systems in southern Ohio that were more natural and I enjoyed more. However, if you are in Chattanooga it's definitely something... More

Parking is free, we entered the parking lot from behind the sign - Lookout Mountain, Welcome to Ruby Falls. Now the most important tip - Get here early, so as to avoid the crowd, waiting in line won't be fun. Pee before you go down the elevator to start your tour, there are no restrooms in the cave. Make sure... More

Didn't know we had to take an elevator down several feet, inside the mountain, no other exit, scary. Elevator broke down the day before....Pretty tight walk, nice falls, but what if.....no way to go out. If you are claustrophobic don't go.

We went to visit the Falls on our trip to Lookout Mountain. It was one of our last stops of the day since it was November and day light disappears early, we figured since it's mostly inside it would be the perfect time to visit. We walked right in, got our passes and waited in the tour line, we only... More
