Opened in 2001 in what was the original 1937 Sturgis Post Office is a gem of a collection of motorcycles. Two floors of vintage bikes with the history of each. A fee of $15 for two with a discount over 65 years of age...a bargain. There is an elevator to the lower floor, or steps. There is also a small... More

We visited the Museum while we were in Sturgis attenting the festivities last year. If you want to be amazed at the motorcycle history, do not pass this place by. We really learned and saw a lot of old motorcycles that were restored to their former shine and lustre. The place is amazing with all the bikes they have there.

We are not motorcycle buffs but this museum is a definite stop in a town known for its motorcycle rally. The amount of old motorcycles that are still in great condition is remarkable. We enjoyed our walk through history.

We are not die hard motorcyclists, so the museum was satisfactory but not awesome for us. The bikes are interesting, but it is set up more like a bike show display than a museum of the HISTORY of motorcycles. I felt the price was reasonable, but it is not a place I would visit a second time.

It is easy to overlook the Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame, but you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not make the time to visit.

Not far from my Sturgis brick. Its a great motorcycle museum and I go there every year. Great place to take a break from riding and grab a cold one.

The main street was dug up and being repaired so we decided to visit the museum for an off season view of the yearly event. So many motorcycles, lots of history, pictures through the years, a video of the area, great collection of bikes and all in great condition. They have a photo section of the women of Sturgis and... Comprehensive collection of motorcycle memorabilia and artifacts. Covers almost every type of bike you can think of (though Harleys dominate). We had to be in Sturgis for sad reasons (death of a loved one), but this museum really cheered us up, and the folks running the place were very friendly and informative. Bought fun souvenirs, and enjoyed reading the inscriptions... More
