Thanks to trip advisor we were able to find a couple wineries in Hill city area. This is one wine tasting room that had multiple wineries from the local area represented. There was a small fee to taste the wine and you got to keep a souvenir glass. The wine tasting hostess Jeanie was incredibly pleasant and fun to talk... More

I stopped in at Twistwd Pine to try some wines. I think it was $6 for five tastes of my choosing and I got to keep the glass. The environment is casual; not as fun as several other wineries in the area. Even so, I found two wines I liked and bought a bottle of each. For me, it was... More

The staff was nice enough but after having visited another winery earlier in the day in Hill City, this one didn't have the fun ambiance. The staff didn't seem to know quite as much about the wines and weren't nearly as enthusiastic. Since there are several different labels served there, I would imagine it would be hard to be overly... I liked how Twisted Pine has tastings from multiple regional wineries. It is a small tasting room with a small (but tasteful) shop, but was a nice place to stop over for less than an hour. The fee to do the tasting was reasonable and I got to keep the glass.

It was great to find that there is wine tasting in South Dakota! Twisted Pine was fun and interesting. Not so different from other more casual wine tasting found in more and more places. We don't drink heavy reds, so can't comment on the quality, but the experience of stopping and having a moment's variety from wild west times was... More

This is a tasting room. For the cost of $6.00 you get to taste 5 wines and keep the glass (nice souvenir). The wine that you are tasting is from other places. For example - they have wine there from Prairie Berry winery, they will charge you $22.00 a bottle that you can get for $16.50 at Prairie Berry. It... More

First, this isn't really a winery. It's a tasting room...and a good one. The staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting options. It's a great way to taste wines from many of the South Dakota wineries, without having to travel all over the state. You can choose from several souvenir glasses, and a good number of local (and other)... More

Really appreciated the hostess for wine tasting. She was knowledgable and engaging. Not free, but you get to pick a souvenir glass and we tried almost ten different wines. Maybe off season helped with the variety.

You know us ladies we love the wine. It was Sturgis week 2015. We all were walking down town Hill city SD and went in to check out this cute little place and fell in love! We got to try five kinds of wine and the cool things was we got to keep our glass. And of course we had... More
