Tourists, bars, gambling, cafes - quick summary. If you cannot park in town, you can always ride the trolley. Plenty to see and enjoy here.

There was so much to see and do all within walking distance. Shops, restaurants, bars, casinos and hotels. They had gun fight re-enactments 3 times a day in different locations plus the trial. Each restaurant served different menu items. I highly recommend going. We spent...More

My wife and I came to Deadwood to check out the historical aspect of the town. I liked the museum and that part of the town. The town is full of casinos and tacky souvenir shops. While I'm sure that makes money it doesn't do...More

Famous gold history and late 1800s and early 1900s buildings. However, now it is a tourist area filled with casinos, bars, gift shops and restaurants. Very little history now in Old Town. Paid street and garage parking, with some free lots on either end.

The town was fun to see but it is mostly just generic stores, once you´ve seen one you´ve seen them all. But the outside was pretty cool.

Since I had never been to Deadwood, SD, I did not know what to expect. This historic little town was very charming and not too different from other historic towns. It had many restaurants for its size and charming little stores and of course some...More

If you want to drink, gamble, smoke and shop then you'll love it here otherwise it's not very remarkable. Didn't really care to have my child here.
