We loved the people here. They were very helpful with great places to eat and routes to drive when leaving town to see great sites. The beverages were great and wonderful entertainment. This will be a first stop when returning to this area!

So much memorabilia around the room, so much to see. Sensory overload. Lots of old world charm - even the floors have sawdust on them like the old days. Must visit if in Deadwood.

We stopped in for a short visit and found the photographs and antiques to be rather interesting. There's a long bar with a friendly barman and you'll get a period dressed lass inviting you, for $10, to visit downstairs and see where Bill met his...More

Loved the recreation of legendary shooting of Wild Bill Hickock. 1 of many pieces of the history of Deadwood, the West and America. At night it is a local place to have a night out.

In the summer they have a Wild Bill shooting. This was not merely in reenactment. The 'Wild Bill' actor took time to tell about Will Bill and history and set up the scene. I learned what a dead man's hand is. We had a good...More

I found all of the exhibits to be very interesting and well thought out. Everything from the rebuilding after the forest fires to fossils of dinosaurs

Of the two main saloons in Deadwood purporting to favour Wild Bill Hickok, this was my favourite. With sawdust on the floor and memorabilia and photos adorning the walls there is a great atmosphere. The low lighting helps you feel like you have stepped back...More

Saw dust on the floor, memorabilia from the old west every where. This is a unique and must see when visiting Deadwood. Great place to stop off for a cold beer after a long ride. We ordered a burrito and it was ok. It's the...More

Did not see this question, so sorry it is SOOO late. There is a street shoot-out that takes place many times during the day. There are posted times when the Hickok reenactments take place, you have to check 'cause sometimes... More

There is not a reenactment of the murder of James Butler Hickok. They do tell the story of what happened. They do have gun fights in the street; however, you must be outside to view them. Please visit the website of the... More

We went during the day and, although we don't have kids, it was definitely family-friendly. Very cool place. They call themselves a museum with a bar inside. Plus, they have a really cool skit depicting Wild Bill's murder. I... More
