I took my 7 year old grandson. It was cold and windy outside so we were looking for some indoor fun and a way to wear off some energy after a long car ride. We spent most of the day there and had a blast. There was plenty to do and see. His favorite was the water room. He still... More

We went to the Museum during a break in hockey games. We happened to be there when Santa visited. My youngest child enjoyed meeting Santa. The kids had a great time running around the museum. One of the unique things of the museum (at least one I have not seen at other Children's Museums) is the post office where kids... More

We are so fortunate to have this beautiful, fun museum so close to home. Every time we go, our toddlers discover something new. The culture area offers a new perspective. My son loves the construction area. My daughter loves playing cafe and doing the craft of the day. Of course, seeing the dinosaurs is always a hit. This museum is... More

I was invited to the museum as a guest of a local "regular," and couldn't be happier that I had the opportunity. Things for kids of various ages, lots of interactive experiences, and lots of engaged kids. The outdoor space is not to be missed, and the international experiences are pretty amazing too! Well done!

Took neices and nephews, and have talked to many that have been there a lot! Good place for kids 3 or 4 and up. Tons of activities inside and out. Don't miss out of the Momma T-Rex, especially when she is decked out in her SDSU jersey!

On our quick trip to Brookings, we had to make sure we spent time at the museum. We have visited a couple of times over the past few years and I'm always impressed. The grocery store center is one of the best I've seen and is kept very clean. The kids love the restaurant center and weather center (where they... More

This is one of our Children's favorite places to visit. Each room has a unique theme that allows children hands-on experiences of play and social engagement. Even little ones have a 'soft' room to themselves. Each room also has books to match the theme for those that may have some social anxiety. The Cafe has wonderful dining options, even for... More

With a 4 year old and an 18 month old - this place keeps them both entertained. They love the huge animatronic T-Rex in the back park and love fishing in the pond. The dancing water is a hit - warning to first-time visitors - bring an extra set of clothes. The inside exhibits are amazing and help the kids... More

We stopped here on the way to the Black Hills and our 7 year old and 3 year old totally enjoyed themselves. I think every town should have a place like this.
