Read reviews online about this tea plantation so decided to visit. Beautiful drive to get there even in February. We did the factory tour and great to see something being grown and made in America. Trolly tour definitely give you a lot more insight into the tea growing process. And reasonable price to do it unlike some of the other... More

This was a great visit to a plantation. Very informative as I had no idea how tea was grown. They have an informative tour of the factory that you can see the process. It was shown on a video, we were visiting in February so there was no harvesting going on, we then took the trolley tour of the plantation.... More

My wife and I were trying to decide if we should head to a true plantation home (Magnolia, Mansfield. Boone Hall, etc.) or head to Charleston Tea Plantation. We (obviously) ended up choosing the Tea Plantation and were thrilled that we did. If you even remotely like tea (cold or hot), this is a great stop. They offer tons of... More

I was disappointed in our trip to the Charleston Tea Plantation. The shop is great with free samples of their tea, both hot and chilled + lots of other tea-related items, local favourites. We took the narrated video tour behind the shop, which was pretty lame. It ran about ten minutes and you had the ability to view the machines... More

We've done just about everything else in Charleston but continue to make it a destination in the south for quick two or three night stopovers. Family recommended this tour and it was wonderful! As the only American tea plantation it is well worth the learning experience. We visited on a January weekday and arrived just at opening. Our tour bus... More

We enjoyed both the 'self-guided' video tour through the factory and also the Trolley Tour with Bob. There were plenty of free tea samples and a really nice gift shop, too. It was a great place for an afternoon activity that was interesting and a beautiful place to visit not too far from Charleston.

After spending some time at another landmark that morning, I was certain our children would be exhausted and find the plantation tour boring, so I dragged them along anyway. Much to my surprise, and despite their tiredness, they loved it! We watched the video tour first and then got on the trolley and were taken around the plantation, learning facts... More

I had actually been there a few years before, but I went back with a friend. She loves tea and found this to be very informative and lots of fun. I don't care for tea, but I still find this to be a lot of fun.

Very educational tour that includes walking through the plant and also taking a very nice trolley tour of the plantation. We had the head guy so he was full of great personal information and you could feel his love of tea ! Enjoyed our half day here and the gift shop offers lots of free samples- you won't be thirsty...
