It's alright

I've been going to this theater for as long as I can remember. Over the years it's gotten very expensive, with not very many updates being done to the place. RPX cost more than IMAX but I don't think it's worth it tbh. Still, the screens are large, the sound is good, and the staff is usually friendly.

Poor Ticket Purchase Process and Seating
Jan 2020
OK, so you wait for one machine to buy tickets if you didn't pay the online premium to buy ahead of time. Since people have to pick seats the line is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW.

Once in the theater, it was small, and my seat felt broken, it didn't "rock" it just jerked back and forth.

Inconvenience at its finest
Dec 2019 • Couples
Regal theaters has come up with the brilliant idea to take away all the ticket people and have people buy tickets inside! The BIG problem with that is they have ONE kiosk in which to do so!
OR you can buy tickets at the snack counters which if it didnt take forever before takes even longer now!!!! Older people have no earthly idea how to use a kiosk and even when they go to the counter still are clueless bc they have to pick a seat to sit in...
Why on earth would they make these changes???? They cant possibly think this is better and easier for the customers who are paying 25 dollars for 2 tickets and another 10-20 dollars on snacks!
Every single person we talked to lastnight was annoyed and very frustrated with the whole situation.
I for one will not be going back to regal theaters!!!
And I'm pretty sure plenty others feel the same way.

Long wait times, Expensive
Dec 2019
We have been to Regal Twice in the past 3 months, The first time the Ticket office only had 1 person operating the booth, The 2nd time we had to purchase the tickets at the concession stand. This slows down the service to the point of it taking the 2nd time :30 minutes to get a ticket and concessions. Add to the time is you need to select a seat. I'm sure all of this is to get you to purchase tickets online, this will cut down personnel cost and drive up profits. Speaking of profits, they have no combos which make there prices sky high on concessions. For 2 of us with senior discount and concessions we paid almost 40 dollars. The theater is clean but for this price I will stay home next time.

Very Nice, Comfortable Theater

I went there to see the movie Godzilla on a Saturday at 4 pm. A lot of people but the staff got through the lines at the concession counter very fast. I already purchased my ticket online so I just had to walk up to the ticket checker and go into the movie room. Very crowded area where the theater is located in Summerville and a lot of people on a Saturday afternoon but overall the seating was comfortable, not too full and the air conditioning was perfect. Staff did a good job for the amount of people who were coming and going.

Disgusting
May 2019 • Family
We went to this movie theatre late on a tues afternoon to see Dumbo. The line for snacks had only one person working and she was taking tickets as well so needless to say it took forever to get snacks. Besides us there was only one other patron in the movie theatre itself and we had to move forward from our chosen seats because the odor of urine was so strong, we almost left. The place was also filthy. Hat a shame for what looks like a relatively new place. I think they need new management. I would not go back.

Average theatre with less than average service
May 2019 • Couples
I hope a new theatre comes to Summerville soon. This entire Charleston area needs a state of the art one. At this theatre we literally walked, no one to check our tickets, had to find out which theatre number our movie was in (because they are not displayed), and moved to avoid noisy impolite people.

At least now, they don't check everyone's bag or purse for brought in drinks or candy. That has been in the past a clear example of what the management thinks is expectable customer service.
