This Ft goes along with Ft Sumtner- but honestly, it's waaaaaaay more awesome! This ft has all kinds of underground bunkers to visit along with outside views. It's really important to see both forts. We really loved spending time here! Must see!!!!

Entire Fort is available for self-guided tours. Admission is extremely inexpensive (tickets at Visitors Center across the street). Best of all, it offers the added bonus of amazing views of Fort Sumter without having to ferry out and back if time is short. This is...More

Easy to find. Watch the movie first before exploring the fort. If time, a walk to the beach is worth it.

It was super cheap. Whole family can get in for (from what I recall) about $5.

If you are taking your own boat then it shouldn't be a problem, the issue you may have is if you take the harbor boat over. It is more thane a 2 hour boat ride round trip and even though the dog would be allowed on the fort... More
