My husband and I had and enjoyable time at Santee State Park. The staff was very accommodating. We stayed in the cabins, which though dated, were fairly clean. Check-in for the cabins is at 4pm and the office closes at 5pm (non-summer hrs), so there is a very small window for check-in. We got there around 5:30pm and fortunately a... More

We love visiting the state park. Admission is $2 per adult, but you can purchase the Park Passport and enter any state park all year long. This park is just outside Santee, SC off of I-95. There are two campgrounds, but one is under renovation at this time. It should be reopened later this year. The trails have been closed... More

We only had time for a quick drive by the lake & a few photos, but quite serene. Nice boat ramp, cabins, paddle & canoe rentals. There was as early morning chill in the air still saw some wildlife, nice campsites.

Nice clean park easy to find and not far from I95. The roads inside the park could use some gravel to fill in the potholes. I'm sure we will be back.

Our family traveled from GA to Santee State Park fro a long weekend and had a great visit for the most part. We found there to be quite a few concerns with our Cabin 25 at Santee State Park and wanted to make you all aware of these concerns. I am an avid traveler and Trip Advisor user and will... More

The tour was very well done with two gentlemen who were very familiar with the Flora and Fauna in the area. We actually saw a alligator harvested on the first day of an alligator hunt and saw the animal. Quite spectacular. The facilities are wonderful clean and a lovely store to go with campers and Cabin Renters. The launch facility... More

A man made recreational preserve that contains 7 lakes, campgrounds, cabins, fishing, pedal boats, row boats, a general store and more. We came to the park to see the ducks. Fortunately the general store sells duck food to help attract the ducks. This allows you to see the ducks up close and personal. I wanted to see the Wood Ducks,... More

Though all but one trail was closed due to hurricane Matthew damage, we had a great week of camping. Bathhouses are located in accessible places throughout the camp grounds and are serviced frequently. Camp ground is pet friendly, and I was glad to see many of us traveling with pets. There are plenty of hookup sites for trailer camping as... More
