We frequently go to the park to SCUBA dive. The facilities are great and we have had absolutely no trouble.

Lake Jocasse is beautiful. Camped in one of the walk in tent sites right on the lake. Good facilities for showering etc. Went kayaking. Wind picks up mid-afternoon a lot of days so you have to be mindful and careful. It can get quite windy and the swells can get water into your kayak. A great experience and one of... More

We were anxious to leave the cold Ontario winter behind for warmer climes in South Carolina. We chose this spot as it wasn't too far of a drive, and we picked a site with the view of the lake. Hydro and water included and at a good price. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and courteous. As it turned... More

If you will be in Devil's Lake State Park, SC, include the Oconee Bell's Nature Trail in your plans. This trail is about 1.5 mile in length. Parts of the trail are relatively flat while other areas have some grade. There are multiple opportunities to cross & follow small spring fed streams. If you are lucky enough to visit in... More

Decent camping spaces for overnight. Bath house is clean. Trail to the North lake is easy hike with crystal clear water and lots of critters.

We stayed in one of the villas and were very pleased with the overall facility. Clean, modern with little unexpected niceties that made us feel at home. Cable, wifi, player, wonderful screened porch with rockers (and reading lamp to boot!) Stone fireplace, plus grill and fireplace outside. Each villa has some view of the lake with some directly on the... More

I have always wanted to see Lake Jocassee. This park might be one of the best public ways to experience it. The boat ramp is accessible and there are many places to camp. The park also rents cabins right on the water that are very nice with thier own doc and beach. There are beautiful falls you can boat to.... More

The land and lake (nature) are awesome. The grounds are up kept nice. But the restrooms (facilities) are deplorable. There was one car in the parking lot. So very slow for this time of year. So so reason for things should not be clean. NASTY is all I have to say.

One of the great destination camping spots in South Carolina! We tent camped (primative with no electricity or water at our site) right on the lake in #14. The view was incredible! We could walk down a slope to the lake, kept our kayaks right there. One night we put our jet ski on the beach, but Saturday morning when... More

We went the weekend of October 14th, days after Hurricane Matthew came through SC/NC and were a little nervous, but extremely pleased they were far enough from the coast, they didn't receive any damage! The camps were very well kept, bathrooms as well, and it was a sold out weekend! Great views, friendly staff, plenty to do right in the... More
