The CCC during depression built this park. Not only creating jobs at the time but creating and preserving lands. Edisto and it’s black waters are intriguing

Stayed here 2 nights in a cabin just after the total eclipse. Not a lot of amenities compared to other state parks in SC but a nice place to stay just a short drive from Charleston, SC. Friendly staff and well mantained.

Stopped for one night at this campground on a return trip from Florida in February. Nice clean campground. Site we selected was full-hookups, which is why we choose this park. We reserved by telephone the night before and had no problems with getting the reservation.

This campground is on the Edis to River where the locals do a lot of tubing. Weekends stayed active with day visitors. The swimming and tubing area was far enough away from the camping area to not be bothersome, but close enough to walk to...More

We stayed in the campgrounds (tented) in March, when the nightly temperatures were in the 30's. It was comfortable, despite the cold, as it was easy to use the electrical outlets and designated campfire area. The bathrooms were clean, close, and HEATED! The staff was...More

We love camping in Eastern South Carolina and love kayaking. Givhan's Ferry is all over the Internet as Colleton SP's sister park for kayakers. You know how they say sisters can be opposites? Colleton is a smaller park, but run very well under the supervision...More

Yes, playgrounds too. There is a open cabin with a fireplace and restrooms nearby that would accomodate a party of 15-20
