Great Show and Good Venue, Rude Staff
Feb 2020
We went to the North Charleston Performing Arts Center to see "ABBA, The Concert". The Show was great!!! The venue is a nice theater to see live performances in, the seat isles are a little cramped and they have continental seating so you spend a lot of time getting up to let people cross by you. As far as the staff security was excellent going in, Concessions were professional as well. The concessions were affordable but parking was plentiful but a little expensive 10 dollars The house opened 10 minutes late and the staff in white shirts were rude, arrogant and otherwise very unhelpful. I have noticed in a lot of large venues we travel to that the patron seems to be just an annoyance to the venue and there is no attempt at customer service. That is unfortunate but a guess this is the norm for the larger acts.

Great venue for live performance. The Performing Arts Center is within easy walking or driving distance of several hotels, parking was sufficient and well-attended, and the venue was comfortable with ample services. Per aware of the new handbag policy ladies; carry-ins are now limited to clear plastic bags, small clutches, and diaper bags. This Center gives the low country easy access to some great entertainment.

Great venue for a rock concert

This was my first trip here and loved it. We went to see Kansas perform on Valentines and they did not disappoint! The venue was lovely. A great faculty! The acoustics were perfect. They even served wine! Adequate parking. Several hotels nearby too. Great staff

Terrific Lion King, airline seats
Dec 2019
We came to see the the Broadway production of the Lion King and it was terrific from the performers, musicians, sound and light teams. Excellent sight lines and ventilation system. At 5'9" & 1 /2, 192 lbs, ok I could lose 12, but these seats are tight. My wife had to ask the guy next to her to stay in his space
There are no center aisles for the main seating area, the grand tier, higher seating has two. How the local fire marshal and building enforcement allowed this potentially dangerous set up is beyond me.

Alan Jackson

For my husbands birthday this year, I bought him tickets to see Alan Jackson at the N. Charleston Coliseum. It was our first visit to the coliseum, there was a short line but security was flowing smoothly & the concert was fantastic!

We attended the Alan Jackson concert on Friday, August 23rd. Went to the concession area for drinks. The total was supposed to be $21.00. I just happened to look down when signing and saw the total was $50.00!!! They did refund my $29.00 acting like it was a mistake. How does $21.00 become $50? Not even close. Beware!!! The venue itself was great for a concert since it's a small place, there's really not a bad seat in the house.

We were about halfway up the second level. It was still ok, though. The staff were not very friendly. I had been there a week earlier for a graduation and went to the information center in person to ask what was permitted and what was not. I was told false information and had to leave my tripod at the gate as parking was atrocious. They had double booked events. Naturally, it was not there when we exited after the concert. The concert itself was fabulous - how could it not be?
We go for Stingrays hockey sometimes. It's a great venue for that, as well.

North Charleston Coliseum
May 2019 • Business
The North Charleston Coliseum is one of my favorite sports and event venues in the Charleston area. I have been to countless basketball games, hockey matches, concerts, and graduations ever since they opened and have had a great experience each time. The arena is just the right size and it is at its best during a sold out game or concert when every seat is filled and the place is rocking. There is plenty of parking available even during the most crowded events and it is easy to get in and out of as there are several entrance and exit roads that are between two interstates. I still get excited going to events here and look forward to each visit as I know it will be fun and exciting every time.

Great Venue
May 2019 • Couples
Great place to see a concert. We have been to many different venues and this is one of the better ones. Easy access to beverage stations and if you want to eat there a wide selection to chose from..Clean and easy to get to restrooms. Will visit here again.
